BIOGRAPHY
Lewis was the most successful British female swimmer in Athens, her second Paralympic Games, where she won two golds, two silvers and a bronze.
Her Partner is fellow Paralympic Swimmer, Sascha Kindred. Enjoys playing wheelchair basketball, going to cinema, travel & computers. Cerebral Palsy Swimmer of the Year 99 & 2003. Rhondda Sports Personality of the Year 2001.
Nyree was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year Awards.
The 2006 IPC Swimming World Championships in Durban proved fruitful for Nyree. Having made a hard decision with her partner Sascha Kindred, they changed their training programme from Colin Hood at the Manchester Aquatics Centre. They reunited with their previous coach, Emma Patrick, now at Hereford.
The change certainly paid off as she came back from South Africa with 2 Gold and 1 Bronze medal.
