National Lottery
Sport Wales are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Assembly Government and are responsible for distributing funds from the National Lottery to sport in Wales. Sport Wales distribute Lottery funding to the Disability Sport Wales Community Programme.
The main focus of this funding is to provide opportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport in their local authority whether young or old. We hope to provide the right environment and encouragement for individuals to improve their health and fitness by taking part in sport in local clubs.

Sport Wales provides support so that we can produce effective strategic plans for disability sport in Wales.
Sport Wales encourages us to:-

To help us achieve our goals, Sport Wales provide:-

•specialist support services in sports science, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, coaching, administration and the development of elite competitors.

Ace Feet in Motion
Ace Feet in Motion was established in the beginning of 2001 to provide sports injury services using computerised pressure plate scanning equipment.
This equipment allows them to analyse the biomechanics of the foot and identify any irregularities in foot function.
Ace Feet in Motion have a full manufacturing facility on site where they can manufacture insoles to correct any biomechanical abnormality. These can normally be manufactured during the initial assessment, allowing the customer to be issued with their orthoses at this appointment.
Ace Feet in Motion have provided in-kind services to Disability Sport Wales athletes for the last three years. During that time, through a Sportsmatch award of £33,000, Ace Feet in Motion have enabled DSW to deliver an athletics programme attracting new athletes into programmes. This partnership is now bearing fruit with the development of an Academy squad.
DSW value the partnership with Ace Feet in Motion, and its parent company, Daceys, and remain gratful for the professional services that it provides emerging and elite athletes and the manner in which it is delivered.
