WELSH LIFTERS SHINE IN UK CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Welsh Institute of Sport at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff played host to the 2010 IPC Open Powerlifting Championships. In conjunction with BWLA and BWAD, Disability Sport Wales hosted the annual event which saw over 30 of the best Powerlifters in the UK compete against each other.

3 Lifters from Wales did themselves and the nation proud by obtaining 2 Golds & 1 Silver between them.

Kyron Duke (Cwmbran) and Daniel Steward (Oxford) won Gold in their own weight divisions, whilst Julie Salmon (Pontypridd) narrowly missed out on Gold to snatch Silver.
