ROBERTS EQUALS TANNI'S GOLD MEDAL HAUL
Swimmer David Roberts has equalled the record medal haul of 11 Golds, held by Tanni Grey Thompson, to become most successful Paralympic athlete.
Roberts, from Llantwit Fadre, went into the S7 50m Freestyle sa favourite, after a strong swim in the morning heats. However Roberts knew the task would be a hard one, with his main rival Matt Walker qualifying 2nd in a good time.
However, Roberts powered through to Gold in a Paralympic Record of 27.95secs, just 0.28secs outside his own World Record.
