Roberts claims 10th swimming gold
British swimmer Dave Roberts broke the world record in his 400m freestyle final to win his 10th Paralympic gold.
The 28-year-old Welshman’s time of four minutes, 52.35 seconds, beat America’s Lantz Lamback by four seconds.
However, he told BBC Sport: “It wasn’t a great swim, I wanted to go seven seconds quicker, but it’s a gold medal.
“I wasn’t as relaxed as I needed to be and there is a lesson to be learnt from that – I’ve got two days off though so I’m looking forward to taking stock.”
