Independent Living enables us as disabled people to achieve our own goals
and live our own lives in the way that we choose for ourselves.
Independent Living offers practical solutions for removing the barriers to equality
and social inclusion that disable us.
This event will launch Disability Wales’ Independent Living NOW! Campaign,
which will provide an opportunity for all disabled people in Wales to make their
voices heard ahead of the next National Assembly Elections in May 2011.
A main campaign aim is the introduction of a National Strategy on
Independent Living.
Following the launch Independent Living NOW! Campaign Briefings will be
held in North, Mid and South West Wales in partnership with local disabled
people’s organisations.
The involvement and support of disabled people is vital to enabling
Disability Wales to achieve its goals.
