ACADEMY PLAYERS ON TOP IN BOCCIA NATIONALS

A hard fought day of competition was had at the Sport Wales National Centre (formerly named Welsh Insititute of Sport) at the Welsh National Boccia Championships, sponsored by Mon Motors Group, last Sunday April 11th.

21 entrants from all over Wales came to compete in this Paralympic Sport, with a high class field on display. GB Elite Squad Member and Academy member, Karl Parrish from Chepstow, along with GB Fast Track and Academy members, Jacob Thomas (Pembroke), James Bailey (Cardiff) and Kathryn Jones (Caerphilly) put their experience into practice, alongside othe Academy and Club members in this competition, held for the 4th year running.

The event organised by Boccia Wales and assisted by the Academy Manager, sees the best from Wales pit their wits against each other, having come through the Regional Events or nominated through the Academy.
