Protection of Vulnerable Adults (add-on)
This workshop is a 1hr add on to the sports coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop. It extends the workshop from 3hrs to 4hrs, and includes information about additional forms of abuse to which Vulnerable Adults may be exposed, and outlines the reporting procedure is there is a concern which needs to be passed on.
Not all disabled people are identified as vulnerable adults, and not all vulnerable adults are disabled people, so this is an important area for those working in a sports context with adult groups in their communities.
