Pearson, a keen wheelchair rugby player, has always demonstrated a high level of competitiveness, amazing her fellow rugby players with her strength, speed and skill.
But rugby is not her only passion. She has recently taken to the track and, following an intensive training programme of about five months, she is showing enormous potential over the 100m, 200m and 400m. She has been working on boosting her speed on the track with former Paralympian-turned-coach Chris Hallam. She already boasts the world’s sixth-fastest time in the 100m and 200m.
Anthony Hughes – Disability Sport Wales’ Performance Manager explains, “Josie applies herself very professionally on the track and her efforts in training reflect her progression so far.”
