Former rugby player Andrew Wilkinson will make his GB debut in Taipei. The javelin and shot athlete is a relative newcomer to the Welsh squad and qualified for the Worlds at Stoke Mandeville in July.
Disability Sport Wales’ Performance Manager Anthony Hughes said, “Andrew is a strong, fit and very conscientious athlete. His main focus is reaching London 2012 in the field events.”
In the future, he may also turn his hand to wheelchair racing.
