Board Members
Julie Whittingham
Julie has been a co-opted member of the DSW board since September 2007.
Julie represents the board with comprehensive business skills and corporate experience in the travel industry. Julie’s role has proven essential during athlete training camps overseas and international competitions such as the Commonwealth Games 2006.
Julie’s commitment to Disability Sport in Wales has been inspired by her nephew, who is our very own boccia academy athlete, Tomas Martin. (Check out the academy section to read about Tomas)
During her sporting career, Julie represented GB as an Artistic Roller Dance Skater. Whilst residing in Texas in the United States, Julie skated at regional competitions achieving silver medals. In 1990 Julie became an accredited Roller Dance Judge and then retired from competitive skating in 2002.
In her spare time Julie enjoys watching the rugby and travelling overseas.
