John Gilgar
John has been the Financial Director of DSW for a number of years. John’s career as a senior auditor has facilitated in the productivity of the organisation’s financial controls and procedures. John’s responsibilities as Financial Director are key to the running of the DSW. He is involved in the authorisation of accurate records of transactions and ensures there is always justification in the organisations expenditure.
As well as John’s long term commitment to DSW, he is a keen Wheelchair Tennis player. Being involved with Cardiff Wheelchair Tennis Club, as Treasurer has permitted John to experience the challenges of running a disability sport organisation.
In addition, John is the Secretary for the Welsh Paraplegic and Tetraplegic Sports Association alongside his fellow DSW Director Jim Munkley.
